When you Caribbean you think in Santo Domingo, some small island like Antigua or Cayman but it is difficult to associate the Caribbean in Panama, yet off the coast of Panama, 378 tiny islands basking in the warm waters of the southern Caribbean.
Now six years ago we were told of these islands, home to the Kuna Indians, who have been long struggles and achieved by the self-government of these islands (less than 50 are inhabited).
“They do not like especially foreigners, who cannot work in San Blas and do not accept outside investment for tourism.” this is the charm of the islands. There is lots of nature and very adaptable, if you want to visit.
Currently the airline Air Panama lands in El Porvenir (the capital), Achutupu, Corazon de Jesus and Playon Chico, always from the airport of Panama, but with vastly different costs, you can reach the islands by helicopter. Here is a site for hiking between the islands with the Kuna Indians
