If the house does not have a very wide tank it can not even hope to make the yellow rubber ducky the Dutch Florentijn Hofman float. This floating Rubber Duck is in fact 26 meters high and has arrived in the Australian port of Sydney to kick off the city festival which will last less than 22 days (5 to 27 January 2013).

“Bring joy and wonder and bring people together. We all live on the same planet and the global water is our bathtub.” So the artist would have explained the meaning of the big yellow duck which given the size, needed a tugboat to enter the Darling Harbour.

The duck began its sailing in 2007 and arrived in Sydney after having traveled the seas and oceans and after having touched many cities of the world. In Australia, however it did not come alone: they included with her triumphant entry into Darling Harbour another 3 thousand rubber ducks of normal size and a multitude of other vessels, boats and funny objects.
