Weekend escape to Tuscany | Italy

Before starting you need to book the hotel where you want to spend the night. There are various possibilities and solutions that you can find. There are plenty of choices for every budget and luxury level you want. It is preferable to choose an accommodation nearby or along the route of the tour, in order to get the best out of your short stay and enjoy the beauties of this wonderful land. A very quaint little village, and a must for a trip to Tuscany, is located in the province of Siena, almost on the border with Lazio. It is San Salvatore Abbey, situated on the slopes of Mount Amiata and has a historic character.

One of the most beautiful and relaxing activities you can do in Tuscany are the spas. One of the most famous places is Saturnia which has natural thermal baths. There are also private spas for some well-known hotels where it is often necessary to reserve your visit so keep that in mind. Among other spas in towns, jus tas relaxing, are: Bagni S. Filippo, a village located between Val d’Orcia and Monte Amiata, from where you can also go and visit the forest of the White Ditch, which is the source of thermal water and Bagno Vignoni, a medieval town which spas and wellness are at home and a place where the square of the village itself is a spa tub.

Tuscany also offers places for a picnic with family and friends and in particular the ideal destination is the summit of Mount Amiata, a pleasant place where you have breathtaking views and a very cool and pleasant climate, especially during the hot months. On the mountain there are numerous picnic areas where you can cook delicious barbecues in one of the many BBQs and large wooden tables to have lunch, remembering always to respect the surrounding nature.

With its baths, charming villages, great food and the opportunity to take long walks outdoors, Tuscany is an ideal place to relax, spend happy and serene hours in good company and to unwind after a week of work, so why not take advantage of it for a nice weekend.
