Sleeping in a romantic castle in France: Maulmont in Auvergne

Nineteen rooms and two apartments with kitchen (classified according to the categories Comfort, Character and Family) have been obtained in a castle which adorned with pointed towers and spiers, surrounded by a park of 22 hectares close to the town of Vichy. These are the numbers of the Château de Maulmont, a French manor; don’t be surprised but you are in the del’Auvergne, converted into a hotel, with two swimming pools and a lake which refines the already excellent surroundings.

The castle, built in 1830, is a summary of the taste of the period for antiquities: summarizes Gothic, medieval Templars and with a dash of bricks century taste. A combination of architecture all in all good taste may well lend itself to a romantic holiday, perhaps in one of the romantic rooms of the tower (Princess Adélaïde room) which is accessed by a spiral staircase in stone.
