If we are to make a business trip we have to organize our itinerary in advance to make the most of it and enjoy the leisure and culture offered by each destination. First we must check that the city that we will spend these days in will not host a conference or trade fair. When this happens it is difficult to get accommodation so if this is the case we reserve weeks in advance. All the hotel should keep on hand in the personal agenda. Only carry necessary things and do not carry valuables unless they are indispensable. It is ideal carry one or two suits and complement them with combined clothes.
Confirm the flight 48 hours in advance and do not forget to register the program of miles to receive additional benefits. If there is a cancellation due to force majeure, do not forget that the airline is required to get us a seat on the next flight even within another airline. It is advisable to know that the hotel has amenities that can make the job easier. Broadband Internet, WiFi, open phone line, cable to inform local news, weather forecasts, and others.
If you go to a particular meeting but in search of potential customers it is ideal to contact them before traveling. If we send an email or make a call, we will have more opportunities to make an appointment. We should not overload our agenda. There should always be time for a business lunch, a second meeting with a client or any issues that may arise.
Finally it is ideal to have time to explore the city, visit museums and monuments, visit friends, shopping, and a little distraction. We should have at least two or three free hours on the agenda, apart from sleep. If traveling with other co workers, we can organize joint activities.
