A short vacation in Italy and its three cities

Italy is not living one of its best moments to make tourists leave with a smile in their faces. The main cities generate dirt faster than they can stand, and it can’t help that the public money destinated to look after these cities goes secretely aloud to some private parties of the political class. Let’s take a view in some of these cities:

Rome

Rome is no more that splendid city it used to be when  Julius Caesar was in charge of the city. Both tourists and citizens leave rubbish in the streets (although maybe it is due to a lack of bins), which made that even the Major has to go once a week to clean what people just throw by there.

Venice is threatened to disappear under the water owing to the global warming, but this doesn’t impide some scandals to happen in there. Recently, a necessary law was approved to make gondoliers pass alcohol and drugs tests as every driver; indeed, some of them can take benefit of tourists unknowing the language to sing obscene songs.

Naples is a city dominated by local mafia. This city origin of the world famous pizza is not a safe place nor for tourists neither for inhabitants. Deliquency and crime have made of the Naples’ streets a lonely empty place at night, and a nervous crowded one during the day. Fortunately, some changes to better are taking place in Italy. Will you consider spending your holidays here after thinking twice?
