Cortina d’Ampezzo is the pearl of the Dolomites and is worthy of its name not only for the beauty of its enchanting natural landscape but also for its decent costs. In fact you can enjoy some free stuff without necessarily spending a fortune and still enjoy the show at this amazing luxury destination. Here I want to give 4 tips on activities that do not require for a penny:
– 2 steps into the main street and you will yourself surrended by shops (expensive) of every kind and good to give temporary shelter if you are frozen from head to toe.
– Visit the quaint ice rink where the important local hockey team plays and where you can (surcharge) rent skates and jump on the track. The stadium is particularly worthy for the forums made entirely of wood which gives the hotel a special atmosphere and a little retro.
– Up to 1750 meters and you’ll find Lake Misurina (about 15 minutes away) where summer reflected the 3 Peaks in winter completely frozen and covered with snow. In an hour or so poor you can make a complete tour through a lovely path.
– From there or directly from Cortina you can go to Dobbiaco. The road that connects the north end of the Veneto with the South Tyrol Val Pusteria is a step in the Dolomites and forests with a scenery as spectacular in winter as in summer.
